La Liga heavyweights Real Madrid are reportedly closely monitoring the progress of 19-year-old French wonderkid Isaak Toure.
According to a report by Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Isaak Toure is the subject of interest from Real Madrid over a possible move in the summer transfer window. The Merengues have been tracking the progress of the 19-year-old Le Havre whizkid for over two years.
Isaak Toure spent his formative years with three clubs, starting at A. En Avant Saint-Pierre before moving to Le Havre following a one-year stint at CO Cleon in the middle. Since joining Le Havre in 2014, the teenage prodigy has come leaps and bounds, having already established himself in the first-team squad.
The 19-year-old wonderkid has made 14 appearances in Ligue 2 for Les Ciel et Marine and is starting to capture the attention of some of the most high profile clubs in Europe. And with the French defender’s Le Havre contract running out in a little over a year, the emergence of Real Madrid in his pursuit has the potential of turning his head.
Real Madrid will likely enter the market for a centre-back in the summer transfer window, even though Eder Militao and David Alaba have forged a largely solid central defensive partnership. But with the duo showing a chink in their armour in the recent 4-0 defeat to Barcelona, bolstering the heart of the defence could become a necessity for Real Madrid.

That is because Nacho is on the wrong side of 30 and a backup option at best. The only other centre-back at Carlo Ancelotti’s disposal is Jesus Vallejo, who will likely depart from the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer transfer window in search of regular game-time elsewhere. And with Victor Chust heavily linked with Manchester City, Real Madrid will have to seek an external solution.
To that end, several centre-backs, including Antonio Rudiger, have been linked with Real Madrid of late. But in someone like Isaak Toure, Los Blancos will have a player who could take over from David Alaba in a few years for good, just like how Raphael Varane succeeded Pepe a few years ago.
According to Defensa Central, Toure has been on Real Madrid’s radar for over two years, with Juni Calafat, their chief scout, closely monitoring his progress. With the 19-year-old French prodigy’s Le Havre contract running out in a little over a year, a summer move to Real Madrid could well be on the cards.
