The Red Devils looked close to their best at the Liberty stadium, producing a dominant team display to secure the three points.
Paul Pogba showed why the club invested a world-record fee in him with a sensationally clean volley from over his hip height to find the back of the net. Most players probably wouldn’t have even attempted a shot from that height, let alone score from there, but then, Pogba is not your ordinary footballer.
Not surprisingly, the Frenchman was the talk of the evening thanks to his wonder goal.

It’s sad that Pogba needed to score a cracker for people to give him some praise. He’s been his team’s best player by some distance this ssn

That goal from Paul Pogba was worth £89m. Done. No more comparisons.

Paul Pogba is the best mid in the world

There was also plenty of praise for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Wayne Rooney and Michael Carrick. The big Swede scored a brace, scoring Premier League’s 25000th goal in the process while Rooney ended the game with two assists. Carrick earned plaudits for dictating the game from the middle of the park and providing support for Pogba to push on.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Carrick gives Paul Pogba so much freedom to play at his best
Similar to Pirlo at Juve..
— ㅤ (@Martialized) November 6, 2016
If only Michael Carrick was 10 years younger. The way he balances the team and can pick a pass is superb. A shame he can’t start every week.
— Liam Canning (@LiamPaulCanning) November 6, 2016
Michael Carrick completed 95% of his passes vs. Swansea.

Carrick is running the show, Mourinho must play him whenever he’s fit. Gives players like Zlatan, Pogba & Rooney more space & better options

Michael Carrick has started 6 games this season. We’ve won all 6 games. Says a lot.

25,000 – Zlatan Ibrahimovic has just scored the 25,000th goal in @premierleague history. Milestone.

A minute’s silence for those who took Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Wayne Rooney and Paul Pogba out of their FPL. #FPL #MUFC

Remember when Zlatan Ibrahimovic was old and rubbish ‘cos he was the first striker ever to experience a goal drought?

It would appear Zlatan’s found his form again. Rooney and Zlatan are linking up coherently?! Incredible.

100 – Wayne Rooney has become the third player to assist 100 Premier League goals (after Ryan Giggs and Frank Lampard). Creative.
— OptaJoe (@OptaJoe) November 6, 2016
Wayne Rooney our worst player has more assists than ‘world class’ mesut ozil. Makes you think
— Nitish Bassi (@Nitishbassi) November 6, 2016
Fantastic performance. Rooney was MOTM by far, involved in every goal and should’ve been given a goal. Superb display from everyone. Relief.
