Liverpool moved a step closer to securing a place in the Top 4 as they routed West Ham United 4-0 at the London Stadium on Sunday.
Jurgen Klopp’s men looked comfortable for large parts of the match against a West Ham side that failed to impose themselves after creating a few dangerous opportunities early on. However, it was smooth sailing for Liverpool after Daniel Sturridge broke the deadlock with his first goal since January.
The English striker was set up by an exquisite ball through the lines by Philippe Coutinho who grabbed a brace for himself by hour mark. Divock Origi rounded off the emphatic win with 15 minutes left in regulation time to with a straightforward close range finish.
The win saw Liverpool climb back to third in the Premier League table and win on the final day of the season will ensure a place in next season’s Champions League for the Reds. Here are the best tweets emerging in the aftermath of Sunday’s encounter.

Coutinho isn’t going nowhere, and shouldn’t go anywhere where’ll be just another player. He has the chance to become a club legend at LFC.
