Manchester United returned to winning ways on Sunday, as they ran out 3-0 winners over relegation-batting Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
Manchester United climbed to fifth in the Premier League table while bottom club Sunderland suffered a setback in their bid to survive the threat of relegation as Jose Mourinho’s men returned continued their unbeaten run with a 3-0 win over the Black Cats.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic broke the deadlock at the half-hour mark to send Manchester United with the lead at half-time. Henrikh Mkhitaryan then doubled the advantage just a minute into the second half before Marcus Rashford put the tie to bed in the dying stages of the match.
Manchester United extended their winning run to 21 with that result, and here are the best tweets emerging in the immediate aftermath of Sunday’s match.
