Stoke City 2-2 Manchester United: Choupo-Moting double ends Red Devils’ perfect start [Best Tweets]

Eric Maxim Choupo-Motim struck a brace as Stoke City held Manchester United to a 2-2 draw at the Bet365 Stadium on Saturday.

Choupo-Moting broke the deadlock deep into the first half to put Stoke ahead before Marcus Rashford levelled things up in injury time, deflecting Paul Pogba’s header past Jack Butland. The visitors then grabbed the lead around the hour-mark when Romelu Lukaku scored his fourth goal of the season.

But Manchester United’s joy was short lived as Choupo-Moting headed in his and Stoke’s second to ensure the two sides shared the spoils on the day. And Phil Jones, alongside partner Eric Bailly, were criticised after a poor outing as their individual errors led to both the goals.

Meanwhile, Manchester United fans had mixed feelings after another winless result away at Stoke, with some claiming a curse in the fixture.

However, the two goalkeepers got their fair share of praises after enjoying superb outings between the sticks.

Jose Mourinho snubbing Mak Hughes’ offer of a handshake at full-time was another major talking point after the two managers were involved in a controversial moment during the game.
