Arsenal have Olivier Giroud to thank for the Sunday draw against Southampton as the Frenchman came on to snatch a late equalizer at St. Mary’s.
Arsenal came into the match as favourites. But, the visitors were in for a shock as Charlie Austin opened the scoring within the first 10 minutes of the match. The Saints had many more chances to extend their lead but their inability to do so saw the match evenly poised, with Arsenal looking for an equalizer.
Olivier Giroud became Arsenal’s saviour with another goal as a substitute, though. The Frenchman scored in the dying embers of the game to secure a late point for the Gunners. Arsenal though, did not escape criticism for a toothless performance.

I don’t mind City winning the title, what pisses me off is that Arsenal haven’t even put up a fight. Arsene please leave. I know it’s not completely your fault, but Arsenal as a club needs change. We need something to look forward to and have us buzzing again.

Fifth placed Arsenal are 17 points off City and 16 above the relegation zone. It is like a bad F1 race when one car is much faster than the others.

Wenger was the one carrying most of the blame.
Borussia Dortmund lost 5 games, they have sacked their manager.
We have lost 5 games and Arsene Wenger is saying we are still in the title race.
If Abrahamovic owned us, Wenger would be off by now.
Fact.— Lets Talk Arsenal (@ltarsenal) December 10, 2017

Arsene Wenger blaming not winning on time wasting from the opposition.
Listen, mate, you have 90 minutes to win a game not 4 minutes!
Anyone and I mean anyone, that thinks he’s the right man at the helm, needs their heads tested.

Wenger needs to explain:
– Why he sticks with 3-5-2
– Why his team never performs for a full 90 mins
– Why he doesn’t prioritize a commanding, ball-winning midfield
– Why Arsenal so often looks unprepared
– Why he still starts Xhaka
– Why the players still make schoolboy errors— Henrik Hindby (@HenrikHindby) December 10, 2017
It’s been 13 years since our last league title.
Yet people are still arguing whether Wenger is the right man for the job ?

Wenger needs to go at the end of this season. Please Arsene do the right the thing, Year after year after year, you do the same thing and make the same mistakes. Please if you love the club as much as you say you do, pass it on.

Pep 11pts clear at the top, finding solutions to everything he’s faced this season.
Wenger lingering 17pts behind, claiming that a game from a week ago caused his team to lose today.— TheDude. (@DvashDavid) December 10, 2017
Giroud earned plaudits though, with the Frenchman rescuing Arsenal again.
We don’t deserve Olivier Giroud

Giroud could bail a deathrow inmate out of jail.

How many times does Giroud have to save Arsenal for people (especially Arsenal fans) to rate him? Man is low-key a cult hero
