Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood is expected to leave the club permanently at the end of the season.
As relayed by The People’s Person, former Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero believes that Juventus should sign 22-year-old striker Mason Greenwood in the summer transfer window.
The Argentine goalkeeper said, “I’m convinced that Mason would do well in any big team, even Juventus. A Greenwood-Vlahovic-Chiesa trident would be super.”
Greenwood is currently on loan at Spanish club Getafe, and he has done quite well for them so far. The youngster has shown that he is capable of playing for the top clubs, and he is likely to improve further with coaching and experience.
The 22-year-old was regarded as a world-class talent a few years ago, and he could easily achieve that potential with the right guidance. It will be interesting to see if Juventus decide to make a move for him in the coming months amid the emerging links. Greenwood does not have a future at Manchester United, and leaving the Red Devils permanently would be ideal for him.
Juventus would benefit from Mason Greenwood signing
If Juventus are prepared to provide him with regular opportunities, moving to Italy would be ideal for him. They are one of the biggest clubs in the world and have the financial muscle to get the deal done as well.
Given his situation at Manchester United, it is fair to assume that the striker will be available for a reasonable price in the summer. Greenwood could easily justify the investment in the coming seasons and establish himself as a key player for Juventus.
The Serie A outfit need more depth and quality in the attacking department, and Greenwood could share the goalscoring burden with Dusan Vlahovic next season. It will be interesting to see if the 22-year-old is open to a move to Italy in the summer. He has been linked with a number of Spanish clubs, including Barcelona.
Greenwood has eight goals and five assists to his name this season. Those numbers are only going to improve when he is playing in a better team alongside better players. He could develop into a lethal forward for Juventus.
