Sergio Ramos headed in a late winner for Real Madrid as Los Blancos came from a goal down to beat Deportivo La Coruna 3-2 and maintain their six-point lead over title rivals Barcelona at the top of the La Liga table.

Real Madrid scored a couple of goals within the final ten minutes of their match against Deportivo La Coruna to mount a dramatic comeback, keep their lead intact on top of the Spanish league and set a new club record for going 35 matches unbeaten.

Los Blancos opened the scoring in the 50th minute with a superb long range effort from Alvaro Morata before two quickfire goals from Joselu saw Deportivo take the lead. Substitute Mariano then pulled things level with six minutes left in regulation time.

However, it was the Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos, who scored the leveller in last weekend’s 1-1 draw against Barcelona, who stood up to head home the winner in injury time and guide his club to a 3-2 win.

After the match, Ramos was the toast of the Real Madrid supporters, who reveled in their captain’s heroics. Here are the best tweets post the exhilarating match:
