Beppe Riso said via Sky Sports, “Exactly, this was the objective since the moment he came to England: looking to become a top player. I think he’s one of the most valuable Italian players in the world right now.”
Tonali is hoping to help Italy qualify for the World Cup in this month’s play-offs. Asked if clubs such as Arsenal and City would be chasing Tonali if he impresses at the tournament, Riso added: “I’m not sure, but it’s very likely.
