Reigning champions Real Madrid smashed five goals past a hapless Sevilla side in the first half of their match at the Santiago Bernabeu, to move within five points of Barcelona on Saturday.
Goals from Cristiano Ronaldo, Toni Kroos, Nacho Hernandez and youngster Achraf Hakimi, who finally opened his account for Los Blancos ensured a comfortable win, and it was by far Real’s best performance of the season and their biggest victory in domestic competition in 2017-18.
Cristiano Ronaldo bagged a brace in his first game after winning the Ballon d’Or in Paris a couple of days ago. It was a stunning performance in what has been a difficult domestic season for the Portuguese superstar.

Standing ovation for Ronaldo, the Greatest. Much needed rest.

Ronaldo has 14 goals in 19 games this season while Messi has 17 in 22 games, One is having the worst start to his season in his entire career one had the best start to his season. Imagine competing with someone like Ronaldo, Don’t know how Messi is keeping up with him

Ronaldo playmaking skills at its brilliant best just to remind some of the fools that he is not just a goal scorer.
The most complete player ever.

Believe it or not, Ronaldo has more goals right now than he did at this moment of time last year

Asensio over Isco and look what happens but imma stay quite
— Zeus (@KeylorinhoZZ) December 9, 2017
Asensio has a ridiculously wide range of attributes, can influence a game in so many different ways, what a talent
— Abdul (@abdulelakrat) December 9, 2017
Definitely a superb decision from Zidane to leave Isco out. Hopefully he doesn’t play all match. Isco hasn’t looked good at all for the last four games, Asensio comes in, and produces immediately. Golden boy.

Asensio made a huge difference today, petition for him to start as a number 10 more often

Lucas Vazquez has been so good man.
I’ve been saying, a couple of regular games and he’ll step up big time.

I apologize on the behalf of all Madridistas for questioning your abilities. We’ve nothing but a loyal, non-complaining soldier @Lucasvazquez91

Lucas Vazquez seems like the happiest guy in the world, he knows he’s not good enough for Real so he just enjoys every second of it
— ?? (@NyIanderr) December 10, 2017
Lucas Vazquez playing like he has sense today. Wonderful
— Maximus (@yoitsdeuce) December 9, 2017
Lucas so much better than Isco. Maybe not as a footballer but for this team for sure. Provides much needed width

Achraf Hakimi scored his first ever goal for the club, creating history and besides that, he put in a good shift as well.

achraf hakimi is such a delight to watch. it’s obvious that he’s been working on being more of a threat going forward with the team and he’s improved each time he gets minutes. #RealMadridSevillaFC
