Real Madrid beat Barcelona 2-0 in the second leg of the Spanish Super Cup to complete a resounding 5-1 aggregate win over their bitter rivals on Wednesday.
Zinedine Zidane’s men dominated the proceedings for large parts of the match putting the tie beyond any doubt before half-time. Marco Asensio scoring yet another eye catching long-range goal, before Karim Benzema with a superb move.
The win gave Los Blancos their seventh trophy since Zinedine Zidane took charge at Santiago Bernabeu less than two years ago, and Real Madrid supporters couldn’t help but raise a toast to the Frenchman, in the aftermath of the huge win over their bitter rivals.

The best thing Zidane did wasn’t to win the trophies. His greatest achievement is making every single Real Madrid player play like him.
