Real Madrid’s recent results were already a cause for worry for Julen Lopetegui as far as his future at the club was concerned. But, the 5-1 thrashing received at the hands of arch rivals Barcelona has proved to be the last nail in the coffin for the manager.
Real Madrid have announced the termination of Julen Lopetegui’s contract with immediate effect, with Santiago Solari to take temporary charge of the first-team.
