Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a brace to rescue a point for Arsenal, who also had Bernd Leno to thank after holding Norwich City to a 2-2 draw.
In an end-to-end affair, Norwich grabbed the lead twice, through Teemu Pukki and Todd Cantwell. But, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang netted a goal in each half to pull Arsenal back to level terms with their hosts on each occasion.
Bernd Leno was Arsenal’s saviour on the other end, making a number of top class saves to thwart Norwich. And, as the game ended with both sides sharing the spoils, Arsenal fans lauded Leno and Aubameyang for carrying the visitors to earn them a point, as Freddie Ljungberg’s first match in-charge ended up being a whimper.
Leno and Aubameyang bailing us out in the second half.
Ljungberg wasn’t exactly going to be able to coach us to defend transitions in one training session, though I’m going to repeat again that we should be playing one striker. Auba shouldn’t be wide.

BOOM! 2-2 – where would we be without the wondrous @Aubameyang7? Two more for our goal machine. pic.twitter.com/5NJgBdD9n4

Leno was outstanding today.
Some of those saves were top draw.
Really has become one of the best keepers in the league of late. pic.twitter.com/F7TeNDRu69

Auba scoring goals, Leno’s magical saves and the rest of team being average/not good enough is basically our every game this season. These two carried us whole season so far. The rest of the squad need to ask themselves what’re they doing and step up. #afc

Imagine arsenal without Auba and Leno ?

If it wasn’t for Leno and Auba, we’d be in a relegation battle right now ?

Full-Time Thoughts:
– Can’t be too harsh on Freddie. He’s had just a day to prepare
– Auba & Leno saved us a point, without them we would’ve lost
– Pepe should’ve be given a chance
– Our defence unsurprisingly let us down again. It’s Championship standard at best#AFC #NORARS— Gunners.com (@Gunnersc0m) December 1, 2019
Signs of promise in the first half but Ljungberg will have his work cut out if he is to find a solution to #AFC‘s defensive problems. Leno stopped this from being a thrashing.

Who knows where we’d be without Bernd Leno & Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Actually, scrap that. I know the answer: the Championship.

Shkodran Mustafi made his first Premier League appearance of the season, but suffice to say, it was a game to forget for the German defender, who was subjected to criticism by Arsenal fans.
At least now people will shut up about wanting Mustafi back in the team.

Mustafi doing his best to lose us another game, Leno keeping us in it. #ncfcvafc

There’s a human being on this planet that genuinely pays Mustafi millions of pounds a year to play football
— JaackMaate (@Jaack) December 1, 2019
Mustafi has no defensive ability or nous whatsoever. Remember when you people thought he was great because he kept clean sheets again trash teams in the EL and CC?
