France put in a listless performance to draw 0-0 against the Ivory Coast in their international friendly on Tuesday. Manchester United’s Paul Pogba failed to shine, while Chelsea star N’golo Kante continued to prove his worth.

After a bright start, the hosts could not create any decent goalscoring chances against the organised Ivory Coast defence. Most of the French attacking players had an off day, while Chelsea’s summer signing N’Golo Kante and 21-year-old Adrien Rabiot impressed, with the PSG midfielder making his debut on Tuesday.

French publication France Football came down hard on the Premier League stars after the game, with Pogba and Payet among the lowest rated players.
