Manchester United moved up to fifth in the Premier League table with a 3-1 win over Middlesbrough at the Riverside on Sunday.
Marouane Fellaini broke the deadlock to hand Jose Mourinho’s side a well-deserved lead in the first half. Jesse Lingard, then, doubled the advantage for Manchester United 17 minutes after the break with a thumping long range strike that followed a driving run towards the Middlesbrough box.
Rudy Gested set up a nail biting final ten minutes with an opportunistic goal, but Antonio Valencia sealed the win for Manchester United deep into injury time, as he pounced on Victor Valdes’ slip to send the Red Devils into fifth, two points clear of Arsenal.

In 2017
Fellaini – 3 goals
Coutinho and Ozil – 1 goal
But wait lets talk about Pogba scoring goals.— Sannith Wazza Shetty (@sannithmufc) March 19, 2017
@ManUtd Delighted for @Fellaini and the link up between @MarcusRashford & @JesseLingard is so quick it’s scary for all opponents.

I love how fellaini has persisted through all the criticism. Kept his focus and now he’s definitely convinced the fans that he gives his all

Said it before, but Lingard is so much better when he has to do things at pace rather than having time to think. Goal emphasises that #mufc

I bet if Lingard was the same player ability wise but was as big as Alli, Welbeck or Barkley he’d get so much more love and respect! pic.twitter.com/s5VvR43eJU

Lingard’s goal today was similar to Scholes’ goal against Barca in 2008. Same keeper, similar trajectory! ??
