Manchester United ended their four-game winless run in the Premier League, when they defeated bottom dwellers Fulham 4-1 at Old Trafford on Saturday.
Ashley Young gave the Red Devils an early lead with a sensational strike from a tight angle inside the box in the 13th minute, before Juan Mata doubled Manchester United’s lead fifteen minutes later, with a composed finish. Close to half-time, the home team were up by three goals, as Romelu Lukaku ended his Old Trafford goal drought with a simple tap in.
Manchester United continued to pose problems for Claudio Ranieri’s men after the break, but against the run of play, the Cottagers pulled a goal back, as substitute Aboubakar Kamara converted from the penalty spot in the 67th minute.
With less than ten minutes left on the clock, Marcus Rashford unleashed a terrific strike from the edge of the box to add more gloss to the scoreline.
It was a fine display from Jose Mourinho’s side, who have been drawing a lot of flak for dour performances in recent matches. And the fans took to social media to cherish the performance from their team on the day;
Might only be Fulham, but the most enjoyable Manchester United game for some time. Constant attacking, entertainment and commitment. More of the same needed.

Manchester United score 4 goals for the first time this season. Yes it’s against a poor Fulham team, but it was a good performance at Old Trafford.
You win by 4+ goals because you have “2” is the key word fullbacks going forward. A free roaming Juan Mata and an inform Rashford❤️ pic.twitter.com/wscCxk83Ez

It only took 16 games, but we finally have a positive goal difference! ? Excellent performance today! More of the same please!

Let's play Fulham every weekend lol

Diogo Dalot put in a brilliant performance at right-back in just his second start in the Premier League. And the United supporters couldn’t stop gushing over the Portuguese starlet’s display against the Cottagers.
Is it too early for Dalot FC ?
I like what I see

Dalot is far from the finished product. But it’s nice to have a full back who acts like a full back.
— United Religion (@Unitedology) December 8, 2018
Dalot's enthusiasm is fantastic. More should play with his energy.

Diogo Dalot's game by numbers vs. Fulham:
20 passes into the final third
second most crosses (8)
joint most chances created (3)
joint most successful dribbles (3)
3 aerial duels wonA statement performance. ??? pic.twitter.com/SS1GHXWLDh

Dalot. Proper full back. Crisp passing and crosses. Runs past full backs like it’s nothing that’s one thing I’ve craved. Bang a right winger in front of him next season we will cause mayhem on the right wing. Shaw martial left wing. Would be deadly

I actually can't remember the last time Man United had a right back that crossed as good as Diogo Dalot (Valencia does NOT count, his crossing has been horrible ever since he moved to right back). Might seriously have to go all the way back to Gary Neville.

Diogo Dalot, where have you been all my life? #mufc

Spanish playmaker Juan Mata too drew a lot of praises from the supporters for his display which was capped with a goal and an assist.
Absolutely no coincidence at all that this performance comes with Juan Mata in the team. He makes things happen, finds space everywhere. He is a magician who is severely underused.

Manchester United always look better with Juan Mata in the team.

Only Mata matters !!! #MUNFUL pic.twitter.com/DeoAIETdsh

Looks like #pogba isn't going to be in the starting eleven anytime soon. Second game in a row United have looked much better in midfield, better movement and more creative. #Mata needs to start more game's. #mufc pic.twitter.com/8vU1ofAZrF

Juan Mata is only the third Spanish player to both score 50+ goals and register 50+ assists in Premier League history after Cesc Fabregas and David Silva. [Opta] #MUFC pic.twitter.com/DX2n444j6e
