Goals from Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford helped Manchester United coast to a 4-1 victory against Burton at Old Trafford last night.
Last night’s game was the fourth time in the past seven matches that Manchester United scored four times. Jose Mourinho looked extremely pleased with the team’s performance, and he will be all the more happy since these goals were scored by players like Rashford, Martial, and Jesse Lingard.
Rashford scored twice last night as the Red Devils embarked on defending the EFL Cup with style. The youngster already has almost half his total of 11 goals from last season, and it remains to be seen how far he gets this time. Martial too has improved immensely this season, as has been evident from his goal-scoring.
Championship outfit Burton were struggling greatly against the pace and movement of Rashford and Martial and the guile of Juan Mata. Although they made nine changes to the squad, they were still outplayed on every aspect at Old Trafford. THT takes a look at some of the best tweets regarding the match.
