Romelu Lukaku was horrendous on either side of the field as Manchester City secured an important three points over Manchester United in the Manchester Derby.
Manchester United saw their undefeated home record ended by their bitter rivals Manchester City on Sunday. The game was heavily dominated in terms of possession by Manchester City but both the sides struggled to get too many open chances at either end.
For all the attacking prowess on display, all three goals in the match were results of mistakes, direct or otherwise. Romelu Lukaku though, had a fair chance of equalizing, with two attempts afforded near the six-yard box, only for the Belgian to hit it straight under Ederson’s throat.
The second shot was brilliantly stopped by the Citizen stopper, who had to take a breather after the ball hit him straight on Lukaku’s first try. The save ensured all three points for City, who now extend their Premier League winning run to 14 games.
Lukaku though, came under fire for not only missing the easy chance but also for his hand in each of City’s goals from set-pieces.
