Manchester United’s winning run came to an anti-climactic end as a resolute Wolves side held them to a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford on Saturday evening
With Wolves taking the game to their hosts, it turned out to be an awkward evening for Manchester United, who had to huff and puff to even get a sight at goal. The hosts did take the lead in the game, as Fred found the back of the net with a fine finish from 20 yards.
But, Manchester United were never quite comfortable, and they became more uneasy early on in the second half as Joao Moutinho scored a delightful long-range goal, that ultimately ensured a 1-1 draw. And, Manchester United fans expressed their frustrations by pointing towards the inefficacy of Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku.
Quite shocked at the form of Alexis Sanchez. I think people are forgetting the calibre of player he is but he just looks completely lost out there. Continuously running nowhere and making some really poor choices in his passing. Arsenal fans will be laughing at us.

Alexis Sanchez has to be the worst signing to date considering his 350k per week salary. Not shifted a gear ever since despite getting games all through. Losing the faith I had in him.

Lukaku needs time. On the bench.

Sanchez looking like Rooney during his latter days at #MUFC. Plenty of effort but lacking that yard he once had, and becoming more of a nuisance than a help. Basic passing let him down today too. No reason why Martial shouldn’t now get a run in the team.

Things Jose needs to do:
1. Stop playing Sanchez over Martial.
2. Find a left footed RW in January.
3. Stop playing Valencia over Dalot.
4. Replace Lindelof with Bailly or play a back 3.
5. Stop lobbing the ball to Lukaku, he’s not a target man.— FergieTime (@SSIIIIUUUU) September 22, 2018
I’m just laughing at Manchester United fans who were saying that Lukaku is better than Morata when the truth is they are both equally useless. Morata, Lukaku their agents and the people that bought both of them are all Mad!

Someone once told me Sanchez is better than Hazard..and Lukaku is better than Firmino

No player in the dressing room has been supported by Mourinho as much as Sánchez has. Inspite of being so heavily backed, he manages to drop terrible performances week after week. Hope he’s dropped next week. We played much better when Martial came on.

Either play Sanchez centrally or let Martial play out wide. I have been protecting Sanchez but how many chances does he need? Martial is clearly looking sharper than him & he deserves to start for us next weekend.

It’s not early days any more: Sanchez has not worked out at Utd at all. Have seen little (Spurs FA Cup, City away, that’s it) that suggests he’s going to get it either. Definitely was worth a punt but it’s looking like it hasn’t paid off. He looks so, so bad

But, it wasn’t all doom and gloom, as Manchester United fans also hailed Fred for opening his account for the club with a superb strike.
Fred has been class in this first half. Up and down the pitch, grafting hard, as well as joining the attacks and scoring his first goal for Manchester United. Definitely adapting to English football now. Looks sharp.

Delighted for Fred who scores his first Manchester United goal ?? ⚽

Fred had 57 touches in the first half vs. Wolves, more than any other player on the pitch.
Running the show. ?? pic.twitter.com/gboB8etBGs

Fred has looked the part today. Adapting to EPL?

Awful from United. Really, really awful. Wolves actually created more chances and played with more freedom. If anyone deserved to win that it was them. United looked bogged down and like strangers on the pitch.
Only positive was Fred scoring and playing pretty well, I guess.

Fans also took out a moment to laud Sir Alex Ferguson, who made his first appearance in the stands since recovering from a brain hemorrhage.
