Manchester United slipped up yet again in their Top 4 charge as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Swansea City at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Yet another home game, yet another home draw, and this time it was relegation battling Swansea City who held Manchester United to a stalemate at Old Trafford. This was their tenth draw at home, 14th overall, and one that provided another dent to their hopes of a Top 4 finish.
In an evenly contested affair, Swansea stood toe to toe with Manchester United for large parts of the game. But, Jose Mourinho’s men grabbed the lead in the dying moment of the first half as Marcus Rashford won a contentious penalty which Wayne Rooney duly converted.
In the second half, Manchester United went in search of the second goal but could not produce the killer blow as Swansea’s attack made the Old Trafford faithful jittery. And Gylfi Sigurdsson scored a sublime free-kick with just ten minutes left in regulation time to earn the visitors a well deserved point.
The result kept Manchester United on fifth in the Premier League table, a point behind Liverpool and Manchester City. Here are the best tweets that emerged in the aftermath of the stalemate at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Missing Zlatan and Pogba today, no control in midfield and no hold up play upfront, Swansea were the better team, we are lucky to even draw

United look tired but it’s no surprise. That’s their 57th game of the season to Swansea’s 38th. 19 more. Equivalent to half a league season.

Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford was a big talking point after his dive that earned Manchester United the penalty:
BREAKING: Marcus Rashford becomes the first Premier League player in history to dive to win a penalty. More to follow.
— adam (@FutboiAdam) April 30, 2017
Rashford gets that decision because he’s still in the “good honest lad who’s worked his way up” stage of his career. Like early sterling.

Rashford destroyed Chelsea and learned the art of diving from Hazard and Costa in the same game. What a player. What a man. ?
