Lucas scores first goal in seven years for Liverpool, the Kop is pleased [Best Tweets]

Brazilian midfielder Lucas Leiva scored the match-winner for Liverpool in their FA Cup 3rd round replay against League Two side Plymouth Argyle.

The goal shy defensive midfielder has been a faithful servant for the Reds for almost a decade. Lucas surprised the Anfield faithful by scoring from a header to give Liverpool a 1-0 lead against Plymouth, which eventually turned out to be the only goal of the game.

Jurgen Klopp had fielded a very inexperienced side, but still had some big guns like Philippe Coutinho, Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi in the starting XI. However it was the diminutive Brazilian who stole the show with his first goal for Liverpool in seven years.

Lucas has been a fan favourite at Anfield for most of his career, but has recently been linked with a move away from the club. Serie A giants Inter Milan are reportedly interested in the Brazilian and want to sign him this January.

The Kop were very happy for their 30-year-old veteran, who spared them the blushes in the FA Cup 3rd round, as a penalty shoot-out could have possibly led to a shock result for Plymouth.
