Liverpool’s title hopes were dealt a huge blow on Saturday as the Reds went down 3-2 to Swansea City at Anfield to remain seven points behind Chelsea.
Liverpool were looking to close the gap on Chelsea as they hosted Swansea City at Anfield on Saturday afternoon. However, they received a huge blow to their Premier League title aspirations as the Swans ran out 3-2 winners over the Reds.
Paul Clement set up a highly organised side that frustrated the hosts in the first half as chances came few and far between. And at the start of the second half, Swansea blew Liverpool away as Fernando Llorente grabbed a quick brace to send shock waves across Anfield.
Liverpool, though, had no intentions to go down without a fight and Roberto Firmino cancelled Swansea’s lead with a brace of his own to make it 2-2 in the 69th minute.
However, all hopes of a Liverpool comeback win were quickly dashed as Gylfi Sigurdsson reestablished Swansea’s lead by slotting home a cool finish from close range to hand the visitors a 3-2 win.

Liverpool is truly the Robinhood of football. Takes points from the rich, and gives it to poor.
