Liverpool were made to work hard before a late flourish saw them record a comprehensive 4-1 win over Cardiff City and romp to the top of the Premier League table
The Reds took an early lead through Mohamed Salah, who continued his fine scoring run to break the deadlock in the 10th minute. Thereafter though, Cardiff defender resolutely for nearly an hour before the Reds managed to double their advantage courtesy a thunderous strike from Sadio Mane.
There was some late scare for Jurgen Klopp’s men as Callum Paterson pulled a goal back in the 77th minute. But, a late flourish ensured a comprehensive win for Liverpool, as Salah assisted Xherdan Shaqiri and Mane to complete the 4-1 win.
It was a hit and miss performance for Salah, but fans are elated by the signs of improvement that the Egyptian talisman has been showing in Liverpool colours since the end of the latest international break.
Mohammed Salah had an ordinary game and yet he managed to bag a goal and lay two assists.
