Liverpool continued their winning run in fine fashion on Saturday as they enjoyed a comfortable 3-0 win over Southampton at Anfield.
The Reds were dominant all through the match, with Mohamed Salah and Philippe Coutinho in fine form. The Egyptian, in particular, continued his excellent goalscoring run as he first broke the deadlock with a spectacular long-range strike before timing his run perfectly to finish from Coutinho’s magnificent pass.
The Brazilian playmaker then grabbed a goal for himself midway through the second half when he scored from Roberto Firmino’s rebounded shot. The Merseyside club have now won three Premier League games in a row for the first time in 2017, and fans reserved some praise for Jurgen Klopp.
Klopp always says it’s how you respond to a defeat – since losing to Spurs:
• 4 wins in a row by a 3-goal margin
• 3 3-0 home wins in a row
• 14 goals scored, 1 conceded— This Is Anfield (@thisisanfield) November 18, 2017
Since last month’s debacle at Wembley, Klopp has summoned the perfect response with 13 goals scored and just one conceded. (James Pearce)

Just a reminder to everyone who wrote our season off and said Klopp doesn’t know what he’s doing. We’re 3pts off 2nd with the Prem League’s top scorer!! At the end of the storm…..

Philippe Coutinho was on song on Saturday, running the show for the Reds, and fans hailed his performance.

Eriksen in 16 games has 4 goals and 4 assists with his last assist in August. Coutinho has had 2 injuries, scored 5 and assisted 4 despite playing 6 less games.

Lovely from Coutinho. Almost passes a beauty into the bottom corner.
Why would he want to go and play with the Argentinian Salah when he’s got the real one at Liverpool..?

One goal and one assist for Coutinho. That’s why you don’t sell your best players.

Please stay Coutinho. I’m begging you.

But, the hero of the night, once again, was Mohamed Salah, who is now the leading goalscorer in the Premier League this season.
Excuse me Mr Salah, but what are you made of? What a player we have!!

just wanted to remind you that Mohamed Salah is currently the Premier League top scorer and the next five closest to him are actual strikers.

Mohamed Salah has now scored as many as or more goals than 5 Premier League clubs. (Huddersfield, Southampton, West Brom, Swansea and Palace)

Crazy to think that a £35m winger is scoring more goals than any striker the Premier League has. What a recruitment Mohamed Salah has been! ???? pic.twitter.com/Cs3bKEx4Jb
