Liverpool charged ahead on the Premier League table with a 3-0 win over Huddersfield, with all the three goals coming in the second half of the game.
Liverpool came into the match frustrated with a lack of positive results and a flaccid backline. And they were up against a manager who knew how Jurgen Klopp better than the rest. The two sides went into the break level at 0-0, with gloom the emotional status surrounding Anfield.
However, as the second half started, Liverpool seemed like a completely different team as goals from Daniel Sturridge, Georginio Wijnaldum and Roberto Firmino made sure Klopp registered a win over his former understudy.
Fans were pleased with the increased level of performance after the break and some chalked it down to Jurgen Klopp’s half-time tactical changes and overall talk.
Totally different team this second half, wonder what Klopp said at half-time? ? #LFC

In fairness to Klopp, whatever he said at half-time worked – this has looked like a real football match in the 2nd!

Klopp made a big impact at half time which was a massive positive for me.#LFC

If we’re slating Klopp for everything, we have to give him credit for changing the game with what ever he said at half time

Credit to Klopp for changing the system at half time…

Klopp’s team talk at half time has worked us absolute wonders. We look like a different team this second half.

Klopp must have given them the King Leonidas at half time. This is much better pic.twitter.com/mLDUaLFaZL

There was also the curious case of Mohamed Salah taking the penalty, which was ultimately saved, instead of James Milner, who has been the staple penalty taker for Liverpool and also boasts an impressive record.
Why Why Why Salah took the penalty ?
when you had
Milner
& Firmino
& Sturridge#LIVHUD— Freaky ~ DRaval (@_DRaval) October 28, 2017
Salah missing a penalty for Liverpool while James Milner, the greatest penalty taker and entertainer of all time, is on the pitch. pic.twitter.com/lVHJqIZ9XK

This is the COMPLETE HISTORY OF EVERY PENALTY SALAH HAS TAKEN IN HIS CAREER, AND KLOPP DECIDED TO PUT HIM ON PENS HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH pic.twitter.com/sJPzboN2tO

Okay, so who gave the penalty duty to Salah instead of Milner? This is pathetic.
— Pай (@AnfieldAn) October 28, 2017
Know Salah scored an important penalty for Egypt but does it warrant him suddenly becoming our first choice taker ahead of Milner/Firmino?
— Jack Sear (@JackSear) October 28, 2017
Just cos the keeper let Salah score the penalty when he took it for Egypt don’t mean he will for Liverpool.

Horrible decision from Klopp. Salah scored one – badly executed – penalty for Egypt and he’s suddenly better than Milner. Nonsense. #lfc

Milner’s missed 1 penalty in about 300 so let Salah take it ??
