Barcelona swept aside Osasuna with a comfortable 3-0 victory at El Sadar Stadium to keep the pressure up on league leaders Real Madrid
A brace from Lionel Messi and a solitary strike from Luis Suarez ensured that the the Blaugrana left El Sadar with all three points. However, the Catalan giants could have very well been 5 goals up by the end of the first half if it weren’t for wasted chances and poor finishing and Luis Enrique would surely have had a thing or two to say to his players during half time.
However, they managed to turn things around, somewhat thanks largely to a loss of concentration within the Osasuna backline.
It didn’t long to for the Argentine to send the fans swooning with a brilliant pass to Luis Suarez.

If only Suarez could add the finish touch to that,

Suarez would’ve been criticized as much as Benzema with the misses he’s had season, if he were at Real. Had quite a few, not that I mind 😉

Suárez already missed two clear-cut chances. There’s something clearly wrong with him this season.

#Barcelona missing sitters against #OsasunaFCB … is it going to be one of those days when the ball just doesn’t go into the net???
— SliceOfSports (@_sliceofsports) December 10, 2016
It was turning out to be an extremely disappointing first half by Barcelona’s standards. They had nearly all of the possession, but nothing to show for it. They missed chance after chance and the first half would end goalless.
Suarez’ passing is awful compared to Messi, Iniesta & co.

Messi Too Is Wasting Chances.
— AKINLOLU. (@TheUberDoctor) December 10, 2016
It was much of the same in the second half, before Luis Suarez finally broke the deadlock by scoring probably the simplest goal he will ever score, after a brilliant Barcelona move helped carve open an Osasuna defence, who until then had been so organized.

Messi won’t get an assist for that pass to Alba who then assisted Suárez. That’s why stats are overrated
— Messi World (@MessiWorId) December 10, 2016
Patient play, great build-up. Messi gets an inch of space and finds the perfect pass to Alba who stays calm and makes it easy for Suárez.

Make no mistake Messi has his finger prints all over this goal. He does well to lay a sublime pass for Alba who just has to roll for Suarez

Alba rolls the ball across and Suarez taps home his 10th league goal of the season. Busi and Messi in the build up though.

Messi would later double their lead in the 71st minute, once again the incing on the cake of some stunning Barcelona build up play.
