Spain made quick work of Liechtenstein in a Group G encounter, putting eight goals past them to put one foot into the 2018 FIFA World Cup Group Stage.
Spain came into the game on the back of a domineering 3-0 win over Italy. And La Furia backed it up with a rout of Liechtenstein, who looked powerless against a team that truly looks world-class at the moment.
Spain put eight past Liechtenstein, with a brace each from Alvaro Morata and Iago Aspas while David Silva, Isco and Sergio Ramos also chipped in with a goal each.
Alvaro Morata was the hero on the night though, finishing the match with 2 goals and 2 assists. The Spaniard would have gotten a hattrick but had his goal flagged for offside, albeit dubiously according to replays.
Morata’s proven his worth for Real Madrid, Juventus, Chelsea and Spain. He’s made for the highest level.

David Silva, though, moved to third on the all-time list of contributors for Spain – a truly great feat. His goal on the night also meant that he is now just 5 goals behind Fernando Torres, who is third on the nation’s all time list for goalscorers.

Lopetegui, though, was still questioned as he subbed off Isco, Ramos while letting Andres Iniesta play the full ninety.
Ramos and Isco subbed off as Spain winning 7-0.
33 year old Iniesta plays the full 90.

Ramos taken off at HT, Piqué who’s had injury problems lately stays on. David Silva also goes off, but 33 year old Iniesta also stays on.
