Real Madrid threw away a two-goal first-half lead to draw 3-3 with Legia Warsaw in their Champions League group stage fixture on Wednesday.
Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema put Los Blancos two goals up, but the 11-time European champions still needed an 85th-minute equaliser to salvage a point after the tenacious Polish champions threatened to snatch a victory.
The point in Warsaw means Madrid now trail Borussia Dortmund, who qualified for the last 16 with victory against Sporting Lisbon, by two points with two games left to play in Group F.
Twitter reacted as expected, with lots of jokes at Real Madrid’s expense as the match progressed.

The Ronaldo haters were also out in full force last night as he put in one of his worst performances in a Madrid shirt, with the forward’s various histrionics and mistakes mocked relentlessly.

Gareth Bale scored a peach of a goal, which had shades of Zidane’s famous winner in the final, and Twitter had its say.
