Leganes 1-2 Barcelona: Champions come from behind to secure narrow win [Tweets]

Barcelona had to work hard for all three points, as they came from behind to beat Leganes 2-1 at Estadio Municipal de Butarque on Saturday.

Barcelona were off to the worst possible start as Youssef En-Nesyri handed Leganes the lead in the 12th minute, finishing off a devastating counter-attack by the hosts. Barcelona saw most of the ball thereafter, but could only manage to find a way past Ivan Cuellar in the 53rd minute, when Luis Suarez headed in the equaliser from Lionel Messi’s pinpoint delivery.

The comeback was then complete 10 minutes from time when Arturo Vidal netted from close range. The win meant Barcelona are now three points clear at the top of the La Liga table, albeit with a game in hand. And, fans lauded Vidal for changing the course of the game after coming on, with a young fan getting a lot of attention as well.

Moussa Wague impressed on his first start of the season and fans clamoured for the youngster to get more of a look-in going forward.

As always, though, Barcelona captain Lionel Messi had a role to play in his side’s win and fans hailed the Argentine wizard following the game.
