Manchester United paid a fee of around €42.5 million to sign Dutch striker Joshua Zirkzee, and the player has revealed that his mind was made up once the interest from Manchester United was formalised.
The 23-year-old striker has revealed to NOS that he immediately agreed to join Manchester United after a conversation with manager Erik ten Hag.
“If I’m honest, I was immediately convinced after the conversations. The process has started in Germany. In the end it was an easy choice. Why? It is Manchester United after all.
“The conversations I’ve had… If a club is so convincing and wants you, it’s not difficult. I also had good conversations with Erik. He wanted me there and I wanted to play for him. That is a good combination.”
The opportunity to play for Manchester United can be quite hard to turn down, and it is no surprise that Joshua Zirkzee was excited about completing the move. The Dutchman has proven himself in Italy, and he will look to make his mark in the Premier League now. The striker has already scored his first goal for the club in the Premier League, and it remains to be seen whether he can improve on his recent performances and score goals consistently.
Zirkzee should prove to be a quality addition

Manchester United need to bring in attacking reinforcements during the summer transfer window, and they have done well to improve their squad. It remains to be seen whether they can push for me to trophies this season. They will be desperate to get back into the UEFA Champions League this season.
Manchester United have been quite underwhelming in the league so far, and they will look to bounce back after the international break. The Red Devils recently crashed to a 3-0 defeat against Liverpool in the league, and manager Erik ten Hag is under immense pressure to turn things around.
