MLS expert Jim Curtin insists Jurgen Klopp making a move for Brenden Aaronson won’t surprise him after a brilliant start with Leeds United.
The Premier League is a strange place when it comes to player transfers. Targets shift weekly, and the stars performing consistently remain in the spotlight. Such is the case with Liverpool, who have suffered a terrible start to the season.
Their deficiencies in several areas of the pitch has seen many experts calling for Jurgen Klopp to make significant changes. Many urged the Reds to bring in necessary players in January and bolster their chances of finishing in the top four.
After fighting with Manchester City for the Premier League title in the last 3-4 years, Liverpool have fallen off the perch this season. They already trail leaders Arsenal by a massive 15 points after 14 games on the board. Only a few believe the Reds can revive and catch the Gunners in the hunt for the title.
Yet, there’s no imminent danger of further regress, as Klopp will keep an eye out for key transfer targets. Apart from a midfielder, the manager might search for an attacking midfielder to inject creativity. Many options are under consideration, as Liverpool even keeps tabs on Mason Mount’s situation at Chelsea.
Jim Curtin on Brenden Aaronson's performance against Liverpool:
“To watch Aaronson play against Liverpool, you could tell by Jurgen Klopp’s body language every time Brenden did anything— Look, I wouldn’t be shocked if he’s interested in that kid after how he played against him.” pic.twitter.com/EG2OcN9SiT

While the media continues to talk about several high-profile players, MLS expert Jim Curtin links Liverpool to a USMNT star. On his Twitter account, Curtin insisted Klopp’s body language during Liverpool’s clash with Leeds showed admiration for Brenden Aaronson.
Curtin insists he will remain unsurprised if Liverpool move for Aaronson in the future. The USMNT international has excelled under compatriot Jesse Marsch at Leeds United. He remains one of the Premier League’s most impressive players this season.
Curtin said, “To watch Aaronson play against Liverpool, you could tell by Jurgen Klopp’s body language every time Brenden did anything— Look, I wouldn’t be shocked if he’s interested in that kid after how he played against him.”
Leeds United may not be open to entertaining offers anytime soon. While a January move may be out of the equation, there are doubts about the same during the summer window. If Aaronson continues to perform this way, a massive future bid could prove tempting for the Whites.
