Jacqui Oatley claims Tottenham are facing a “full-blown mega multi-crisis” if they lose to West Ham United

Jacqui Oatley believes Tottenham may find themselves in a full-blown crisis if they lose to West Ham United at home on Saturday.

Thomas Frank enjoyed an impressive start to life at Tottenham Hotspur, as the initial results showed plenty of promise. However, the former Brentford boss has struggled to find consistency at the North London club, and with results not going their way, the pressure is slowly mounting on the Danish manager.

Frank has led them in a total of 31 matches across competitions, with the team averaging just 1.32 points per game. They sit 14th in the league, which is simply not good enough for a club like Tottenham. The recent home defeat to Aston Villa, which knocked them out of the FA Cup, has further ramped up the pressure on their manager.

Spurs have won only three out of their last 14 games across competitions, and they are winless in 2026. Given their current form, the next few games become very important for Thomas Frank’s future at the club and Tottenham’s season as a whole.

Thomas Frank’s future depends on the next games

Broadcaster Jacqui Oatley has claimed the next three to four games are make or break for Frank. More importantly, the game against relegation-threatened West Ham United at home on Saturday afternoon could have a massive impact on their manager’s future.

A defeat in that fixture could result in a full-blown crisis at the club. Not only could it lead to the departure of Frank, but the board will also be forced to rethink their entire project, and they might even end up regretting the decision to sack Ange Postecoglou after he led them to the Europa League title last season.

As relayed by Sky Sports, Oatley said, “I think the key thing now is the next three or four games. They’ve got West Ham at home. Now, lose that, and this crisis becomes a full-blown mega multi-crisis.

“Then they’ve got Borussia Dortmund at home in the Champions League. They are well-placed, potentially for a top-eight finish. And then they’ve got Burnley as well in the Premier League, so these are really crucial games for Thomas Frank now.”

West Ham are 18th in the Premier League table, seven points off safety, and they are on a ten-match winless run in the top flight. Given their form, Tottenham are clear favourites to win, and as a result, anything less than three points will certainly not go down well with the board.

Even if they do secure a win, the North London club will have to ensure they come out on the right side of the results against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League and Burnley in the league to ensure Frank keeps his job and their season remains on track.
