Manchester United cruised to a 2-0 win away to Zorya to book their place in the knockout phases of the Europa League.
The first half was a goalless affair but a brilliant solo run by Henrikh Mkhitaryan opened the scoring for Manchester United as he topped the run off with a swift finish in the bottom corner.
The goal was the Armenian’s first one for his new club and the attacker was rightly pleased with his effort as he took to Twitter to convey his feelings.

Mkhitaryan is the most exciting attacker we’ve had since….. Martial. Will be ?? when they’re both in top form playing on either wing.

While other fans welcomed the returning Eric Bailly, who was at his defensive best again as Manchester United notched up a clean sheet.
Great to see Bailly back for @ManUtd this evening. Was excellent before injury and commanded and controlled the back 4 very well.

Bailly is 22 and is a beast, Pogba is 23 and is a beast.

The Man Utd bench conclude that a concussed Eric Bailly would probably still make better decisions than a normal Phil Jones, and he stays on
— Paddy Power (@paddypower) December 8, 2016
Considering the conditions and the fact he hasn’t played for six weeks, Eric Bailly is having a stormer.

Eric Bailly: Take it easy, it’s a frozen pitch and you’re just back from a ligament injury.

Thank God Eric Bailly is back. Quite frightening how much Manchester United missed him. Huge gap to fill when he goes to play at AFCON.
