Cristiano Ronaldo’s woes in front of the goal continued on Sunday as Girona mustered a great comeback to steal a shock 2-1 win over Real Madrid.
Real Madrid seem to be in a slump, atleast as far as La Liga goes. Zinedine Zidane & co. have now fallen eight points behind Barcelona this early into the season after their latest shock, a 2-1 defeat away to Girona. Cristiano Ronaldo, too, continued his scoring woes after another night without a goal.
Fans were quick to criticise Ronaldo and while some had his back, mentioning the key passes and chances created by the Portuguese, majority highlighted the lack of goals and Real’s inability to cover for Ronaldo’s loss of form from other players.

Crazy how Ronaldo fans just assume he would’ve scored like 20 goals in the 5 games he’s missed, when he scored 1 in the 6 games he’s played.

Congrats Girona! They were lucky tho that Madrid played without Ronaldo, it could have been different.

If Ronaldo played today, he would’ve definitely score a hattrick. No question about that. #TheBest

Cristiano Ronaldo is the player with WORST conversion rate (2.5%) this season of all goal scorers in Top 5 leagues. The Best? ??? pic.twitter.com/olJ7YG05BP

It just still baffles me how Cristiano Ronaldo keeps winning #TheBest awards playing like this. Man just waits for tap ins and nothing else.

The way things are going, Ronaldo won’t even make the 30 man shortlist for Balon D’or.

Ronaldo has been dreadful this season in the league, let’s not be blind to the facts.

I honestly love it when people count Ronaldo and Real Madrid off. They do it way too soon. At the end lets see who will be laughing.

Fans poked fun at Real Madrid as well, as they drifted to eight points from Barcelona.
