Sehrou Guirassy converted from the penalty spot to give FC Koln a much needed win over Arsenal in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday.
Arsene Wenger continued to field a relatively weaker lineup in the Europa League. However, FC Koln took full advantage of the weakened starting lineup to register a narrow 1-0 win over the Gunners that will go a long way in boosting the morale of a side that is currently stacked at the bottom of Bundesliga.
The win also saw FC Koln jump up to second in their Europa League group and stay alive in the race to qualify for the knockout phase of the competition.
Twitter did not spare Arsenal, despite the Gunners fielding a second string squad.
Arsenal have managed to lose to a fragrance that hasn’t smelt a single victory in the Bundesliga this season.

Banished from UCL to Europa, Arsenal can’t beat Belgrade at home, they can’t avoid defeat to a team that has only 2 points from 12 league games. If a team is this bad in Europa, might be time for them to join CAF Confederations Cup methinks.

What’s funnier than Arsenal singing about Spurs on Thursday night Europa League? Arsenal losing on Thursday night Europa League.

Arsenal have managed to do what no side in the Bundesliga has managed all season.
Lose to FC Koln.

Arsenal fans in a week
1. Get High on NLD win
2. Mock United for losing 1-0 against Basel
3. Lose to Koln— Soham (@CurryMerchant) November 23, 2017
Spurs have 13 points in 5 games in a Champions League group with Real Madrid and Dortmund. Arsenal have 10 points in 5 games in a Europa League group with Köln and some Serbian farmers.
Levels.

Arsenal can’t even beat farmers ????

Arsenal are a pub team. Highland Football League at best.

One of the few positives to come out of the result was Jack Wilshere playing the entire ninety minutes and looking comfortable on the pitch – another step towards his long-awaited renaissance. However, his performance was disappointing on the night and he had to bear the brunt.
Arsenal fans bashed Herrera for his lousy performance last night only to end up watching this horror show from Wilshere tonight. Plus losing to Europa farmers ofcourse ??

Anyone saying Jack Wilshere should replace Ramsey in the main team should have a good look at themselves.

Think this game puts to end any suggestion that Wilshere should be starting league games for Arsenal.
— David (@Gooner_66) November 23, 2017
Harry Winks gets Man of the Match against Borussia Dortmund. Meanwhile Jack Wilshere still can’t turn up against German side’s, even the one’s that haven’t got a single win in Bundesliga.
— Spurs News Today (@TodaySpurs) November 23, 2017
I understand why people have an attachment to Wilshere as a concept. I don’t understand how people can watch him play and think he should be anywhere near our first team.

Jack Wilshere is wonderfully average
