Real Madrid suffered their third defeat in four games as a late Manu Garcia condemned Julen Lopetegui & co. to a 1-0 loss at the hands of Alaves on Saturday.
For much of the game, Real Madrid lacked the cutting edge to threaten Alaves bar a couple of chances when luck deserted them. As the minutes ticked by, and Los Blancos failed to score a goal for the sixth consecutive hour, the uneasiness grew.
Real Madrid’s worst fears ended up coming true with practically the final shot of the game, as Manu Garcia scored the winner for Alaves deep into injury time. Unsurprisingly, Real Madrid fans were smarting from the shock defeat, and they vented their frustration out on Julen Lopetegui.
What the hell is Lopetegui doing at Madrid?

Lopetegui going to get a vote of confidence, aka the kiss of death, after this.

It's going to be amazing when the job Lopetegui blew up Spain's World Cup for fires him midseason.

From losing his first game as club manager in the European Super Cup to this current disaster run of form…
Lopetegui's possesion based football with no attacking threat isn't what Real Madrid's squad are properly equipped for. https://t.co/yPgQ3WPtSA

Tweets pointing towards a certain Cristiano Ronaldo’s missing influence were out in full force a well.
"Ronaldo was holding Benzema and Bale back"
"Real Madrid will be fine without Ronaldo"

Remember when we started really well and Ronaldo couldn't get his first goal for Juve? Tables have turned now. Juve have won 8/8 league games and Ronaldo is scoring and assisting. We haven't scored in our last 4 league games, that's absolutely ridiculous and embarrassing.

Ceballos: “Cristiano’s absence is not going to be noticed.”
Bale: "‘It’s maybe a bit more relaxed without Cristiano Ronaldo, yes isuppose there is more of a team, more working as one unit rather than one player.’

Meanwhile, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema faced the ire of Real Madrid fans as well, following their unimpressive performances on Saturday.

After Bale's first season at @realmadrid, I thought Bale would be something at Real. I thought Bale would win the Ballon do'or one day. I thought Bale would be Ronaldo's successor. After 5 years, it seems that he'll just be another player for Real. Absolutely pathetic

If I was the manager, I'd bin Benzema, Bale ASAP!
You can't turn up for one game in ten & then totally dissappear for the remainder.

No goals in 4 matches for Real Madrid. First time since 1984/85.
Now 10 points dropped after 8 league games.
Benzema is still starting as the striker, played 494 minutes in last 7 matches with 0 shots on target.
