Mats Hummels scored a late winer for Germany to hand them a win against a battling Czech Republic side in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
Germany had several players unavailable and Joachim Low had taken the risk of not calling up many other recognised names as Germany took the field against Czech Republic. However, they were heading for a shock result after Vladimir Darida canceled out Timo Werner’s early goal.
Mats Hummels, though, was the saviour again as the Bayern Munich man scored with just 3 minutes to go in regulation time to hand the Germans a close win.
Mesut Ozil provided the assist for Timo Werner and was the subject of attention on social media.
Ozil performance for Germany again proves that this arsenal team is not ready for ozil ??♂️✋?

Ozil becomes Messi while playing for Germany but at Arsenal he becomes loftus cheek with big eyes. Maybe Arsenal is the problem

Why does Ozil play better for Germany than Arsenal?
— Football analyst (@Footiematics) September 1, 2017
Lmao Ozil’s created one chance for Germany, one assist, 13 for Arsenal, no assists.

Shocking! How does Ozil play so well for Germany?
Never works so hard for us!— Bhavya Shah (@Bk_shah1) September 2, 2017
The Ozil assist for Germany was exactly what he was doing when he got 20 assists couple seasons ago. High up the pitch with fast transition.

Why does ozil look worldclass for Germany ?

Ozil is a different animal for Germany.
If Wenger had any sense he would of signed a few Germans and made Mesut as comfortable as possible. https://t.co/eT37aPAc1V— LacaNewSigning (@shaunsully85) September 1, 2017
Ozil is one heck of a player if you play quick passing football (Madrid/Germany). No wonder he struggles at Arsenal.

Ozil’s different class for Germany, a lot more effective when half decent players/management is around him
— Noah???? (@EriksensationaI) September 1, 2017
It’s so easy to underrate Özil because he plays with bums at Arsenal. Wanna see the real him? Watch him with Germany. That’s the difference.

Mats Hummels was also greeted with much appreciation as his winner saw Germany grab the late win.
Ah looks like Germany have grabbed a late winner. Brilliant Hummels header from a set piece. Germany haven’t been very good to be honest

Bayern defenders have recently made it a habit of scoring late winners for Germany. Brilliant header by Hummels, there
