Cristiano Ronaldo has appeared to be ecstatic upon returning to Manchester United, claiming it is the best decision of his life.
Speaking to the Manchester United media after completing his return to the Premier League club, Cristiano Ronaldo has claimed that it is the best decision that he has taken. The Portuguese forward has also added that he is raring to get back on the field in the red of Manchester United.
It is a news that came as quite a shocker for fans across the world. While Cristiano Ronaldo had been linked with a return to Old Trafford pretty much since he first departed the club back in 2009, very few would have fathomed a move back to the Premier League giants, not least at this stage of his career.
However, the transfer has come to fruition, with Ronaldo sealing a second coming at Manchester United on Deadline Day. The move has since drawn a myriad of reactions with some claiming that Manchester United will challenge for trophies while others remain skeptical.
The man himself, though, has expressed his delight at completing his return to Old Trafford. Speaking to the Manchester United media, Ronaldo said, “Well, as you know, I have a fantastic history with this amazing club. I was there at 18 years old and of course I’m so happy to be back home after 12 years. So I’m really glad and looking forward to start my first game.”

“I think it’s the best decision that I have made it. It’s right on point in my opinion. I moved from Juve now to Manchester, it’s a new chapter, I’m so happy and glad, and I want to carry on again, to make history, to try to help Manchester achieve great results, to win trophies and number one of them, to win great things.”
Speaking on Sir Alex Ferguson’s role in his return, Ronaldo said, “As everybody knows, since I signed for Manchester [United] at 18, Sir Alex Ferguson was the key. I remember when we played against Manchester when I was at Sporting Lisbon. For me, Sir Alex Ferguson is like a father in football for me.”
“He helped me a lot, he taught me many things, and in my opinion of course he had a big role because the relationship that we had, we keep in touch all the time, and he’s an unbelievable person. I really like him a lot and he was the main key for me to be in the position that I am, that I signed for Manchester United.”
The veteran forward appears to be in form early in the season, having scored a match-winning brace for Portugal against Republic of Ireland in a game that saw him become the all-time top scorer in international football. Manchester United fans will now hope he can carry his prolific form at club level when Manchester United return to action next weekend.
