Brazil prevailed over Mexico by a scoreline of 2-0 to advance to the quarter-finals of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Brazil started out nervily, with Mexico doing well to neutralise the threat posed by their fellow Latin Americans. But, Neymar laid out a ball to Willian, who used his pace to get past his marker before crossing the ball in a dangerous position. Gabriel Jesus missed the chance, but Neymar was there to latch on to it and open the scoring for Brazil.

Roberto Firmino rounded out the score soon after, giving Brazil a neat cushion. Neymar though, was in the headlines for the wrong reasons again. The PSG star seemed to have been the subject of a very feign touch on his ankle from an opposition player. But, the Brazilian screamed in agony, exaggerating the impact.

This did not go down well with the onlookers, who took to Twitter to vent their frustration at Neymar’s antics.

Some though, wanted to look at the positives or shut the naysayers down, so to say.
