Real Madrid stunned Borussia Dortmund 3-1 last night, as goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale sealed victory for the Spanish giants.
Real Madrid talisman Cristiano Ronaldo was in his usual fiery form last night as he scored twice in what was his 150th European club match as Real Madrid beat Borussia Dortmund. His goals propelled them to a solid 3-1 win after Gareth Bale opened their account with a solid volley before the first 20 minutes.
Ronaldo went on to double Real’s lead before Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang pulled a goal back in the 54th minute. The Portuguese international’s goals confirmed victory for Real as he fired past Dortmund’s keeper Roman Buerki in the 79th minute.
This win will also ensure that there would be no repeat of last season’s draw where Dortmund had come up after being down by 2-0, and Real now have maximum points from two matches in Group H. In fact, they are currently on par with Tottenham in terms of points collected. THT takes a look at some of the best tweets regarding the match.

Varane and Ramos dominated in defense. Kroos and Modric controlled the match. Ronaldo and Bale were ruthless in attack. Brilliant.

Respect everyone’s opinions and that but really don’t get how you can be so disabled to watch Ronaldo so often and not call him the GOAT

Amazing how Cristiano Ronaldo has managed to properly manage his physique and step up his performances on key matches.

However, several tweets were also about some of the decisions taken – or rather, not taken – during the match. Some felt like one of Ronaldo’s goals were offside while others were of the opinion that Sergio Ramos’ handball goal-line clearance should have received more attention from the officials.
Another offside goal for Ronaldo. This man is really the king of offside UCL goals.
