Jack Wilshere produced another promising display in the Europa League as Arsenal put six past BATE Borisov to top their Group.
Arsenal had already secured passage into the knockout rounds of the Europa League. But, a 6-0 win at home to BATE Borisov capped the group stage off nicely, especially with another Jack Wilshere masterclass for the attendees.
The Englishman ended the night with a goal and an assist, but it was his overall command over the game that was laudable. And lauded he was, on Twitter.
Jack Wilshere is the English Iniesta.

Arsenal 6-0 BATE. Easiest game of the season. I’m glad we turned up despite being qualified already. Wilshere had a magnificent performance! The goals were very good. Even Walcott played decently.

With the win, Arsene Wenger completed his 700th win in charge of Arsenal and a tribute was rightly paid to arguably one of the most consistent and respected managers in the world.
700 wins for Arsène Wenger at Arsenal. What a remarkable feat. He is likely to be the greatest Arsenal manager of my lifetime. What a man.

700 wins for Arsene Wenger, OBE.
Simply the greatest manager we will ever see at our club, make no bones about it. He’s divisive, maligned, but resolute and dedicated. He loves this club.
It’s his club as much as any of ours.
Beyond respect. In awe.
