After failing to win two games on the spin, Liverpool returned to winning ways as they beat Middlesbrough 3-0 at the Riverside Stadium. Despite being bereft of the services of their key marksman Philippe Coutinho , the other attackers in the Liverpool setup stepped up to get the job done for their side.
While many expected Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane to be the focal point of the Reds attack, midfielder Adam Lallana took up the onus to deliver and registered a brace along with an assist to guide Liverpool to their first win in three.
The Liverpool fans showcased their admiration for the English international on social media:
10 – Adam Lallana has had a hand in 10 goals in 14 PL apps this season (5 goals, 5 assists), the same number as in 2015-16 (30 apps). Form.
