Newcastle United have full faith in Matthias Jaissle despite double Everton defeat

Newcastle United are 100% behind Matthias Jaissle despite some external concerns amid the team’s faltering form of late.

According to TEAMtalk, Newcastle United are not thinking about a managerial change at present, and will continue to place their trust in Matthias Jaissle. The German coach has come under scrutiny in light of some disappointing results of late, but the club are 100% behind their head coach while they are ready to plan for the future with him at the helm.

Matthias Jaissle gave the impression of bringing something new to the Premier League with his fresh ideas and tactics at the start of the season. After an impressive start to life with Newcastle United in the opening three games, including a win over Tottenham away from home, things have gone slightly differently in the subsequent matches.

Newcastle United have only managed to win two of their following six games, including just the one at home when they faced Hull City. They have lost back-to-back home clashes at the hands of Aston Villa and Everton, which has led to some discontent among the fanbase.

There is the element of changes to consider within the squad, considering Newcastle United lost three of their most influential stars in the summer. The departures of Bruno Guimaraes, Sandro Tonali and Anthony Gordon have depleted their ranks, but the new signings have done well, though they need plenty more time to gel together as a unit.

Newcastle United ready to back Matthias Jaissle

There was speculation surrounding Jaissle’s future following the loss to Aston Villa, and the same story has repeated following the loss to Everton. After Monday’s defeat, there were discontented voices inside St. James’ Park, and that is not expected to affect the club’s stance.

Newcastle United retain faith in Jaissle despite the sluggish start to the season, and will continue to be behind the manager moving ahead. There are no plans to even consider sacking the under-fire manager. Sporting Director Ross Wilson is ready to stick behind the German tactician, as he was his choice to replace former boss Eddie Howe.

If anything, Newcastle United are now planning to strengthen the team ahead of the January transfer window, keeping Jaissle in mind. Hence, the German is set to remain at the helm for the foreseeable future, with all talks of an immature exit likely to be quashed in the background.
