Andoni Iraola delays decision on next club

Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola continues to be linked with a summer move to Crystal Palace.

Andoni Iraola has done an excellent job at Bournemouth, and it is hardly surprising that multiple clubs are monitoring his situation. He is leaving the Cherries in search of a new challenge in the summer, and Crystal Palace are hoping to secure his signature.

Iraola was heavily linked with Chelsea before they decided to appoint Xabi Alonso. As for Crystal Palace’s interest, Oliver Glasner has decided to leave the London club at the end of the season, and they need to replace him properly. The Austrian manager has been outstanding for them, helping them win the Community Shield and the FA Cup.

Glasner could also help them win the UEFA Europa Conference League before leaving. Replacing him will be tricky. The Eagles need a quality manager to fill the void left by Glasner, and Iraola would be an exceptional addition.

The Spaniard has got Bournemouth pushing for European football with limited resources, and there is no doubt that he could do a phenomenal job at Crystal Palace as well. The South London otufit have quality players at their disposal, and he could help them compete for a top-half finish.

However, a report from Football Insider has claimed that the Spanish manager has yet to decide on his future and is ready to delay a decision on his next club. It appears that Crystal Palace will have to wait in their pursuit of the 43-year-old.

Iraola wants to decide his future after the season ends

The report claims that the Spaniard is focused on the remaining matches of the season and does not want to be distracted by rumours about his future. There is a chance for him to guide the Cherries to UEFA Champions League football, and he is completely absorbed in the moment.

It would be a historic achievement for him if he helped them secure Champions League qualification for the upcoming campaign. The 43-year-old is a talented manager with a bright future, and Crystal Palace should do everything in their power to convince him to move to Selhurst Park.
