Crystal Palace weighing up summer move for Dino Toppmöller

Crystal Palace are considering a move for Dino Toppmoller as a replacement for Oliver Glasner, but faces competition from Bournemouth.

Dino Toppmoller is a man in demand from the Premier League, as the former Eintracht Frankfurt boss is ready to coach in England. As per Sacha Tavolieri, Crystal Palace are interested in appointing the 45-year-old German manager as a replacement for Oliver Glasner, while Bournemouth are also ready to compete as they seek a successor to Andoni Iraola.

A host of Premier League teams are set to scramble in an effort to appoint a new manager over the summer, with Crystal Palace one of those expected to be active in that regard. Oliver Glasner is set to leave the club and will hope he guides the team to Conference League success, which will bring Europa League football to Selhurst Park next season.

Should they make history, Palace will not have Glasner managing them next season, with the German boss set to embark on a new adventure. The Eagles are already looking at some names in the managerial market, amid early links to Thomas Frank.

Andoni Iraola was also a reported target recently, with the Bournemouth boss now deciding to leave the South Coast club at the end of the season. Whether he favours Palace remains the question amid links to Athletic Club ahead of the summer.

A new name has emerged on Palace’s list, with the club now considering a move for former Eintracht Frankfurt manager Dino Toppmoller. The 45-year-old German manager left the Bundesliga side in January of this year, and is reportedly interested in coaching in the Premier League amid interest from Wolfsburg. Palace are not alone in the race, as Bournemouth are also interested in appointing him as the successor to Iraola.

Dino Toppmoller headed to the Premier League?

Toppmoller certainly has plans to manage in England, and the level of interest will excite the 45-year-old German manager. Incidentally, with Palace interested, he was the man who succeeded outgoing boss Glasner at Frankfurt, and could be on the verge of emulating that over in London.

Bournemouth’s interest will be a spot of bother for Palace, given Toppmoller could inherit a talented squad after Iraola’s departure. There’s no decision yet on his next destination, but it appears the Premier League could be Toppmoller’s next stop in his managerial career.
