Tottenham begins talks with Adi Hutter to replace Igor Tudor

Tottenham Hotspur brought in Igor Tudor to steady the ship after the departure of Thomas Frank, but the appointment has not gone as planned.

Igor Tudor has failed to make the desired impact, and Tottenham Hotspur are now looking to replace him with Adi Hutter.

According to TEAMtalk, they have already opened talks to appoint Adi Hutter as the club’s next manager.

Igor Tudor and Thomas Frank: Failing to make their mark

Tudor has managed seven matches for Tottenham, winning just one and drawing one. In comparison, the manager he replaced (Thomas Frank) averaged 1.29 points per game over 38 matches. He picked up two wins in the last 17 Premier League matches before he was shown the door. He left Tottenham in 16th place in the League table. Tudor has not been able to get them out of that situation.

Hutter is an experienced manager who has shown his quality across multiple leagues. He could prove to be an interesting acquisition for Tottenham. It remains to be seen whether they can get the deal done.

Hutter has impressed with his high-intensity 4-2-3-1 approach, and Tottenham have the players to execute his style of football. He can switch to a back three as well, and his tactical versatility could be a hit at the London club.

Adi Hutter has extensive experience

Hutter has managed clubs in Austria, Switzerland, Germany, and, most recently, France with AS Monaco. He helped Monaco push for the league title last season and averaged 1.77 points per game with them. Prior to that, he impressed at Eintracht Frankfurt as well, averaging 1.65 points per game. He was named the best manager in Germany in 2019, during his time at Frankfurt as well.

His experience of managing in various leagues will certainly come in handy, and he will look to prove himself in the Premier League now. Tottenham have quality players at their disposal, but they need a manager who can bring out the best in them. Hutter is a versatile manager in terms of tactics, and he might be able to unlock their true potential.

Meanwhile, Tottenham have also been linked with former manager Mauricio Pochettino.
