Predicted Liverpool lineup against Bournemouth: Salah starts again; Konate misses out

Mohamed Salah will retain his spot in the Liverpool starting lineup when they take on Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday.

Liverpool will aim to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they lock horns with Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday evening. Arne Slot has no new injury concerns to worry about ahead of his side’s latest fixture.

Ibrahima Konate remains unavailable after a family bereavement. The French international accompanies Giovanni Leoni (knee), Conor Bradley (knee), and Alexander Isak (leg) on the sidelines.

Additionally, Slot has been sweating over Federico Chiesa’s fitness after the Italian international missed the UEFA Champions League clash with Marseille due to a knock. Meanwhile, during his pre-match press conference, the Dutch tactician provided updates on Chiesa and Konate.

The Liverpool manager said, “Federico wasn’t able to be on the bench on Wednesday. There was a recovery session yesterday, so we have to wait and see today. It’s difficult for me to say whether he is available for Bournemouth. We don’t expect him to be out for long, so it would be 50/50 maybe if he is available for tomorrow.”

“I spoke to [Konate] a few times. I think these are private matters and they should stay between us. It’s very obvious that if something like that happens, a player needs time to be there for his family and also time for himself.”

“For the rest, at this moment in time, no-one picked up a knock, no-one had a problem after the game, but sometimes when you start training again you can feel something. But I expect all the same players to be available for tomorrow and Calvin Ramsay is a player who is not available for the Champions League but will be available for the Premier League, so that’s another player to add.”

Alisson Becker is an automatic pick between the sticks, with Liverpool lining up in a 4-2-3-1 formation in front of him against Bournemouth on Saturday. The backline will feature Jeremie Frimpong, Joe Gomez, Virgil van Dijk, and Milos Kerkez.

AS for the midfield unit, Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch will pair up in the double pivot, with Alexis Mac Allister reprising the no. 10 role. Finally, Hugo Ekitike will lead the line for the away side against Bournemouth, with Mohamed Salah and Florian Wirtz completing the numbers in the offensive unit.

Predicted Liverpool XI: Alisson; Frimpong, Gomez, van Dijk, Kerkez; Szoboszlai, Gravenberch; Salah, Mac Allister, Wirtz; Ekitike
