Predicted Arsenal lineup against Inter Milan: Eze, Jesus to start in much-changed side

Eberechi Eze and Gabriel Jesus will return to the Arsenal starting lineup when they take on Inter Milan in a UEFA Champions League clash at San Siro on Tuesday.

Arsenal will be eager to return to winning ways and continue a flawless start to the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League campaign when they lock horns with Inter Milan at San Siro on Tuesday night. Mikel Arteta has no new issues to worry about ahead of his side’s latest fixture.

Riccardo Calafiori and Piero Hincapie remain in the treatment room for the foreseeable future due to their muscular injuries. However, Cristhian Mosquera is in contention to feature after being in the matchday squad for the Premier League clash with Nottingham Forest this past weekend.

Meanwhile, during his pre-match press conference, Arteta did not provide fitness updates on any players. However, the Spanish tactician confirmed that Mosquera and Kai Havertz would be in the squad to take on Inter Milan this midweek.

The Arsenal boss said, “Yes [Mosquera and Havertz are in the squad]. No, that’s all [no further fitness updates].”

Meanwhile, Arteta also answered questions about possible rotations on Tuesday keeping one eye on the Premier League clash with Manchester United this Sunday. However, the Spaniard did not confirm whether he would ring in the changes this midweek.

The Arsenal boss said, “It’s very particular for every game, I’m afraid, because every game has a different situation, and the players are in different stages as well. We will prepare the game, the lineup and the finishers in the best possible manner to win the game.”

David Raya will retain his spot between the sticks, with Arsenal lining up in a 4-2-3-1 formation in front of him against Inter Milan on Tuesday. The backline will feature Jurrien Timber, William Saliba, Cristhian Mosquera, and Myles Lewis-Skelly. So, Gabriel Magalhaes and Ben White will get some rest.

As for the midfield unit, Christian Norgaard and Mikel Merino will pair up in the double pivot, with Eberechi Eze making a rare start by reprising the no. 10 role. Finally, Gabriel Jesus will lead the line for the away side against Inter Milan, with Noni Madueke and Leandro Trossard being the two wide attackers. So, Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, and Declan Rice will be among the backup options on the bench.
