Endrick and Rodrygo will start for Real Madrid when they take on Talavera CF in the Copa del Rey round of 32 on Wednesday.
Real Madrid will aim to book a place in the Copa del Rey round of 16 when they lock horns with Talavera CF at Estadio El Prado on Wednesday night. Xabi Alonso has received positive updates on the team news front ahead of his side’s latest fixture.
Endrick, Fran Garcia, and Alvaro Carreras are available for the away side after serving their suspensions this past weekend against Deportivo Alaves. However, several players remain in the treatment room ahead of the game against Talavera.
David Alaba, Dani Carvajal, Ferland Mendy, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Eder Militao, and Eduardo Camavinga are unavailable. Meanwhile, during his pre-match press conference, Alonso did not provide fitness updates on any player. However, the Spanish tactician discussed the possibility of handing starts to Endrick and Rodrygo.
The Real Madrid manager said, “I don’t like to give too many clues to the opponent. Endrick is in the squad. We’re not thinking about after the break. We still have Talavera and Sevilla. We have all the players we have, and we want to start tomorrow. Endrick, of course, has a chance.”
“He’s [Rodrygo] been very good news for us in the last two games. Not only because of the goals, but also because of the role he’s playing as a fourth midfielder and third striker. He can occupy positions that are a bit undetectable because of his mobility and quality in space. He is also giving us defensive balance. If he also complements that quality he has always had with goals. The goal against City was very important and the one the other day as well.”
Andriy Lunin will replace Thibaut Courtois between the sticks, with Real Madrid lining up in a 4-2-3-1 formation in front of him against Talavera CF on Wednesday. The backline will feature Fran Garcia, Raul Asencio, Alvaro Carreras, and Victor Valdepenas.
As for the midfield unit, Dani Ceballos and Aurelien Tchouameni will pair up in the double pivot, with Brahim Diaz reprising the no. 10 role. Finally, Endrick will lead the line for the away side against Talaveras, with Rodrygo and Franco Mastantuono completing the numbers in the offensive third.

Predicted Real Madrid XI: Lunin; Fran Garcia, Asencio, Carreras, Valdepenas; Ceballos, Tchouameni; Rodrygo, Diaz, Mastantuono; Endrick
