Jurgen Klopp makes demands clear for Real Madrid move

Jurgen Klopp has reportedly laid out some massive conditions if he were to take up the Real Madrid managerial role.

According to Fichajes, Jurgen Klopp might be open to the idea of managing Real Madrid only if the club can consider his conditions beforehand. The Former Liverpool manager is being considered to replace the ineffective and underfire Xabi Alonso, but his conditions could draw a complicated conclusion to the saga.

Real Madrid are facing a testing period ahead, with results not going their way in recent games. The weekend’s defeat to Celta Vigo has cast fresh speculation on the future of Xabi Alonso, who was already under pressure to deliver and keep the team relevant in the La Liga title race.

There have been other reports stating some of the players are unhappy with the Spanish head coach, namely Vinicius Junior, as well as Rodrygo Goes. Some reports speculated that, should there be a player mutiny within the camp, Alonso could potentially lose his job.

There’s a massive managerial merry-go-round brewing in the background as Alonso is one of the prime candidates to replace Arne Slot at Liverpool should the Dutchman get the sack. Meanwhile, Liverpool have also considered Jurgen Klopp to replace Slot, as the German is now seen as a successor to Alonso.

Given the complicated scenario in the saga, Florentino Perez views Klopp as a big option to replace Alonso. However, the situation is a bit more complex than reported, as Klopp seemed happy with his Red Bull role previously when Liverpool were linked with a move.

Jurgen Klopp’s conditions worth considering?

Klopp might be open to accepting the Real Madrid job as long as his conditions are met beforehand. The report states, the Former Liverpool manager wants full control of decision-making with the squad, including renewals, sales and transfers. Perez has been the main man when it comes to deciding which player comes in; Klopp might want to override the equation at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Moreover, he also wants a squad overhaul, while he may not be keen to work with stars like Vinicius and Rodrygo, who he reportedly views as inconsistent. The main caveat in these conditions is the approval of Perez, which may not come after all, which would cast a shadow of doubt on Klopp’s potential arrival at the Bernabeu to replace Alonso.
